Everyone is reviewing their year today so I'm gonna join in the fun.
This year has been loooooong! So long I can't remember 2014, it's all a blur cause it's so far from now. I can't even remember January 2015. It was so long and so much happened in it.
I lost people close to me. Learnt about the depth of the bond I share with believers under my care, it runs so deep. I realized that death is that one thing that's part of life but that we never get used to. No matter how old the person was, how well lived their life was, it's still hurts like hell to lose them, even more so when they're young and had their whole life ahead of them.
I worked on my relationships this year, having learnt that they don't take care of themselves. Just didn't make any new ones (I suck at making friends). But I gained a bigger readership on my blog, that counts rights? And I'm so grateful for that, at times I'd think no one cared to read, then I'd get a comment or response on something I wrote - I'd melt each time. Thanks so much to all of you! I'll do my best to write even better in the coming year.
I got to serve on various platforms. Broader platform at work, other churches and schools. It was exhilarating each time. The fulfillment I got from each opportunity left me rich. I also walked away from a platform I had served at for the past four years. It hurt, but it had to be done. It was lovely learning that my service had an impact.
I read! Redeeming Love, To Quote Myself and The Five Love Languages being favorites from this year's reads. Learnt about the link between reading and writing, very much like hearing and speaking; one informs the other. Reading more helped my writing so much.
I was designated as a Marriage Officer. Yay! I still can't get over it, lol. Got my first marriage gig this weekend. I'm gonna start the year off with a bang, haha!
I grew older, but that happens every year so it doesn't really count ne? But this year I had my first born, well technically bought him. He's a month old and 1000kms in, we obviously need to explore more.
And the big one: I begun my natural journey! I had my big chop and forsook all chemicals that manipulate my hair's natural structure. It's alot of effort that goes into taking care of it, alot of patience too (it hasn't grown in two months) . I'm not sure if I'm starting to regret it but I know my wallet's still happy!
Happy new year guys! May God carry you through into the new year and may He sustain you throughout it! Blessings!
