My kinda girl #1

Before you get any ideas, I'm not Lesbo. Just taking on a challenge thrown at me. One of my church brothers requested I do a 'my kinda girl' series. So here we go!
One: the girl must have a head on her shoulders.

"She considers a field and buys it, out of her earnings she plants a vineyard." Proverbs 31:16

When I lived in Joburg, I never could understand what attracted guys to these Barbie doll girls. Beautiful but with a head filled with air. I resolved that it said something about the guy cause I never could keep conversation with the type. So guys, the girl you go for says alot about you. Anyway, let's look at what the Bible says about this noble woman. She considers. To consider is to think about something carefully, especially in order to make a decision. She thinks, studies, investigates before she buys. Now I know I'm shooting myself in the foot by saying this because I don't do much thinking when it comes to shopping. But the key here is what she's buying. No, it's not a pair of shades which match the blouse she was thinking of buying which by some divine luck matches the pants she bought last week. She's considering a field. A field is where we plant and harvest. She looked into something that would gain her income and sustenance. This was an investment. Then you have these girls of today who look at guys, especially older men and see ATM machines. That is not who we girls are, we are very much capable of using our brains to earn a living without selling ourselves short.

When the Bible speaks of her earnings, I'm reminded of Ruth who didn't depend on her looks to get her needs met. She refused to join Naomi on her little bitter-pity-party. She considered what she could do and when she found it, got right to it. Girls aren't as weak as they've been made to believe. We might be weaker in muscular strength but we do not have half the brain of a man. Your kinda girl must not be lazy with her brain and therefor not lazy with her hands.
